Tibbie Stakes History
The Tibbie Stakes was inaugurated in 1990 and quickly became an important target for fillies and mares across New South Wales. Originally named the Tibbie Plate, the race received an upgraded name when its status was lifted to Listed in 2005. In 2013 the Tibbie Stakes was upgraded again to Group 3.
