Randwick’s $20 million The Everest (1200m) is the world’s richest turf race run in October and gained Group 1 status in 2024.

Group 1 races are the most esteemed races around the world and feature the greatest sprint and staying racehorses from around the globe. Horses and their trainers will travel miles to compete in international Group 1 races in the hope of taking home another winning title.
