The Arrowfield Stakes boasts a competitive field, but I’m intrigued by the potential value offered by a returning runner from the Chris Waller stable. This Zoustar filly, despite conceding a fitness edge to some rivals, was on fire during her last campaign. She boasts a strong first-up record and capped off her spring carnival with a victory in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) in Melbourne. With a history of success in Sydney and two promising local trials under her belt, she appears primed for a strong return. Drawn well, she has a genuine chance at a price that shouldn’t be ignored.
The Royal Sovereign Stakes – now known as the 2024 Arrowfield 3YO Sprint field will be published below on Tuesday April 9, 2024 as soon as released by Racing NSW.
The Arrowfield 3YO Sprint 2024 final field features a near capacity line-up of young sprinters led in betting by Bjorn Baker’s Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Ozzmosis looking to atone for his first-up last (14th) in The Galaxy and fellow Zoustar colt Schwarz up in class.
