The Group 2  Queen Of The South Stakes is a 1600m event for all fillies and mares.

Held at Adelaide’s Morphettville Racecourse, the mile event is worth $200,000 in prize money and has set weight plus penalty conditions. The 2020 edition of the Queen Of The South Stakes was worth a reduced $175,000 in prize money due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Run during the Adelaide Autumn Racing Carnival, the event runs on the same card as the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) also for fillies and mares and the Group 1 Australasian Oaks (2000m) for three-year-old fillies.
