2026 Australasian Oaks Results

Stay tuned for the official 2026 Australasian Oaks results and finishing order at Morphettville on Saturday April 26, 2026 and to see what fillies are Brisbane-bound for the Queensland Oaks over the winter.

  • 1st: No. 4 Panova ($11)
  • 2nd: No. 5 Mating Call
  • 3rd: No. 12 Paltrow Miss

Winning Margin: 0.95 lengths

Winning Time: 2:04.04

Chris Waller’s progressive Trapeze Artist filly Panova ($11) improved on her unplaced Vinery Stud Stakes run last start in Sydney to power home and beat the locals in South Australia’s 2026 Australasian Oaks results. Given a peach of a ride by James McDonald, Panova saluted by a length to hand the hoop is maiden Group 1 success in Adelaide. J-Mac took the filly out wide and came flying down the outside to hit the lead 200m out from the line and hold on to deny the luckless Mating Call who was held up for a run at a crucial stage with Paltrow Miss in third. Panova has since firmed from $11 into $7 as the now equal favourite in futures markets at Ladbrokes.com.au for the Queensland Oaks on June 6.

Australasian Oaks Tips

Stay tuned for our exclusive Australasian Oaks 2026 Tips on the opening elite level of the SA Autumn Racing Carnival.

To Win: No. 2 Getta Good Feeling

GETTA GOOD FEELING (5) heads to Morphettville as the filly they all have to beat, and her form this campaign makes it easy to see why. The Danny O’Brien-trained daughter of two-time Cox Plate champion So You Think has gone to a new level this prep, stringing together two strong Melbourne victories — first causing a boilover in the $1 million Inglis Sprint at HQ before dominating the G3 Alexandra Stakes over the Caulfield mile. She comfortably accounted for Classic Gem there, who franked the form with a brave ATC Oaks fourth, and she drops to a very manageable 56kg for her Group 1 assignment. A sharp Geelong jump-out has kept her ticking over, she’s already proven at 2000m thanks to her Wakeful Stakes win last November, and barrier five gives Billy Egan every opportunity to produce her trademark turn of foot. With the right draw, the right set-up and the right profile, she looks poised to cement herself as the standout filly of the autumn at Morphettville.

Australasian Oaks News

The Australasian Oaks, previously run as the Schweppes Oaks due to sponsorship, is a Group 1 race run over 2000m at Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide.

Held in late April or early May during the Adelaide Autumn Racing Carnival, the set weights race is open to three-year-old fillies and now runs back on the Robert Sangster Stakes Day card that also features the Group 1 $1 million Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m).

Offering $1 million in prize money, the Australasian Oaks is also a nice lead-up to the Queensland Oaks held in Brisbane during the winter carnival in June and the key Australasian Oaks lead-up is the Group 3 Auraria Stakes (1800m) held at Morphettville in late April.

Egg Tart (2017) was the last filly to complete the Australasian Oaks – Queensland Oaks interstate double.

In 2022 Barb Raider improved on her Australasian Oaks second to win Brisbane’s Group 2 The Roses next-up before finishing second again that year’s Queensland Oaks results.

The 2024 Australasian Oaks form was franked with the third placegetter Coco Sun going on to beat home the boys in the Group 1 South Australian Derby (2500m).

The 2025 Australasian Oaks winner Benagil went on to frank the form with a third in that winter’s Group 1 Queensland Oaks.

2026 Australasian Oaks Betting

The autumn’s Australasian Schweppes Oaks 2026 betting odds from Ladbrokes.com.au will be provided here at Races.com.au as soon as markets on the Group 1 race are open.

There was another upset in 2022 with Glint Of Hope winning at $13, while the $2.70 favourite My Whisper ran third without excuses.

In 2026, another double figure Australasian Oaks champion saluted with Panova at $11.

Australasian Oaks History

The Australasian Oaks is a relatively new race which was first held in 1982. The first winner of the race was Rose Of Kingston, the dam to Melbourne Cup winner Kingston Rule.

The race is known for producing great staying horses with many going on to place well in the Caulfield Cup. 2008 winner Zarita went on to beat the colts and geldings in the Group 1 SA Derby (2500m), which is held during the same carnival.

The most notable upset in recent Australasian Oaks history was the 2021 victory by 60/1 outsider Media Award.

Plenty of nice types have won the race including Lights Of Heaven (2011) and Delicacy (2015) who came off wins in the WA Oaks and WA Derby, and who also won that year’s SA Derby.
