Gallopers dropping in grade off Group status events at Randwick and those with proven 2000m form usually sit high up the Wagga Wagga Gold Cup betting markets.
House Of Cartier ($5 in 2020) saluted in the Wagga Wagga Gold Cup as favourite before later being disqualified.

Open edition of the Wagga Wagga Gold Cup and for value tipping Another One to bounce back off a forgivable 10th in Bendigo’s Golden Mile with excuses and return to winning form back at home at Wagga. The local Gary Colvin-trained Super One gelding has a stellar strike-rate at the track (8:5-1-2). He’s yet to be tested at 2000m or win over further than a mile, so that is the test here. Still, with the superior form at the course and some nice recent runs he looks a double-figure chance to surprise a few from gate five on the minimum.
