The Hill Stakes is a Group 2 weight-for-age race which is held at Sydney’s Rosehill Racecourse.
Run over a 1900m distance, the $175,000 event is held in September during the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival. As a part of the Tea Rose Day, the Hill Stakes is run alongside the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes and Shannon Stakes as well as the Group 3 Gloaming Stakes.

First held in 1921 and won by Beauford, the Hill Stakes was originally a 10 furlong race which was then changed to 1750m up until 1990 and again in 2001. The race was not held in 2007 however there have been plenty of double winners in this event including Phar Lap.
