2017 Inglis Sires’ Produce Stakes Odds & Betting Update

A talented and capacity field of two-year-olds is set to contest the 2017 Group 1 Inglis Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick on Saturday; offering punters terrific value from a betting perspective and several opportunities to place a winning wager.

Frolic produced a typically smart performance to finish second in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) a fortnight ago and the filly remains an outright $4.60 favourite in 2017 Inglis Sires’ betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au.

Frolic debuted to racing for consecutive second place finishes in a pair of New South Wales minors over 1150m and 1200m respectively, before claiming her maiden race win in the Inglis Classic (1200m) on February 13th.

Becoming the first runner to deliver subsequently Golden Slipper champion She Will Reign a competitive defeat when a smart winner of the Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m), Frolic will have to overcome a wide drawn in the Inglis Sires’, but will be partnered by regular hoop Tommy Berry.

Tulip ran on well to finish third in the Golden Slipper and the talented filly is the sole occupant of the second line of Inglis Sires’ Produce Stakes betting at $6 odds.

Tulip immediately stamped herself as a filly to follow when she won the 1Print Plate (1000m) on debut on New Year’s Eve, before returning in late January or a close second behind Limestone in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Preview F (1000m).

Running a credible fourth in the talent-rich Group 1 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m), the Pierro filly stormed home to win the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) on March 11th, in what was her only other start prior to the Golden Slipper.

Drawn well in barrier 2, Tulip will again be partnered by Kerrin McEvoy when she takes her place in the Inglis Sires’ field.

Interestingly figuring as the only other runner currently available at 2017 Inglis Sires’ odds of less-than $10, Menari was beaten into third place in the Golden Slipper on protest and appears as though he will relish a step up to 1400m on Saturday.

Menari has shown plenty of ability through his short but impressive racing career so far and beat a number of notable horses to the line to win the TAB Rewards Plate (1100m) by two lengths on debut in mid-January.

Running second to Pariah in the Group 3 Canonbury Stakes (1100m) on January 28th, the son of Snitzel resumed for a tough run for fifth in the Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) on March 4th, in what was his only other start prior to the Golden Slipper.

There is plenty of value to be taken across the 2017 Inglis Sires’ betting market at Ladbrokes.com.au, including the Peter & Paul Snowden-trained pairing of Gunnison ($11) and Invader ($15).
