The Melbourne forecast is for a cloudy but fine day across the afternoon and with no chance of rain until Sunday morning, the current Good (4) Flemington track rating is set to remain making for a perfect day’s racing.

Flemington racing gets underway at 12:45pm (AEDT) and the nine-race program continues through until 5:45pm (AEDT).

The action is headlined by Flemington Race 7 where the Australian Guineas 2018 field features a capacity line-up of 16 three-year-olds with only the race emergencies coming out.

Australian Guineas betting at Ladbrokes.com.au is led by the Darren Weir-trained Cliff’s Edge ($4.80) now jumping from barrier 15, which last produced a winner of the autumn mile classic with the fellow Weir-trained Palentino in 2016.
