The card closer at the Gold Coast Racecourse this weekend is the 2018 Magic Millions Snippets Sprint, betting tips and updated odds on the million dollar event found below.

Bringing the $10 million Magic Millions Race Day to an end, the field for this year’s $1 million Harrolds Magic Millions Snippets (1200m) is down to 11 runners after five early scratchings.

Updated Magic Millions Sprint odds at Ladbrokes.com.au on the recently renamed clash are dominated by the $2.50 favourite Viddora.

Lloyd Kennewell’s ultra-consistent I Am Invincible mare has her first run since an impressive Perth win in the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) and even with 59kg looks the one to beat on Saturday.

The dangers according to the latest Magic Millions Sprint betting markets are early mover Egyptian Symbol ($6.50 into $4.80) after she scratched out of the Fillies & Mares race for this and the Peter & Paul Snowden-trained Dothraki ($6).

So will Viddora continue her winning form is there an upset Magic Millions Snippets result pending from a roughie hope this summer such as Brisbane-trained colt Snitzkraft ($11) chasing a third win on the trot even Matthew Dunn’s last start winner at the track Perfect Dare ($26)?

1^st

#3 Viddora ($2.50)

Really hard to knock the class favourite even with the hefty 59kg on her back. She is ultra-consistent and doesn’t know how to run a bad race, plus is only improving each time out. The Winterbottom Stakes win was by 1.5 lengths and followed two luckless Group 1 sprints at The Valley in Group 1 company. Up until breaking her Group 1 maiden she was always overs in betting, but now the cat is out of the bag. Gets six weeks between runs and took out the Perth feature off a five week turnaround so looks ideal. She’ll sprint home from the back and be hard to hold off.

#14 Snitzkraft ($11)

Good price offered on this youngster taking on the older sprinters. Kelso Wood-trained and has won his last two starts, the Snitzel colt coming off a narrow all-the-way victory at Doomben on December 30 in the Listed Favelon (1050m). He will be improving over the 1200m, a distance he has a strong record over (6:3-0-1) and Larry Cassidy retains the ride.

#10 Perfect Dare ($26)

Best value for a Place in this race has to be the forgotten Perfect Dare. Was unplaced over too-short-distances twice in the spring before returning to winning form over 1200m here at the Gold Coast on December 23. Is at the track for a fifth time on the weekend and has strong sprint form (7:2-2-1). Last summer he was runner-up in the Magic Millions Cup (1400m) and he has class, proven by the close Group 2 Moreton Cup (1200m) third in the winter at a similar blow-out price.
