Hay List Scratched from 2011 Newmarket Handicap Field

Hay List

Hay List has been scratched from the 2011 Newmarket Handicap Field

Possibly the only danger to Black Caviar in the 2011 Newmarket Handicap at tomorrow’s Super Saturday of Racing at Flemington, boom sprinter Hay List has been scratched from the $1 million sprint due to a shoulder injury.

Five-year-old Hay List was rated a $13 chance in the early Newmarket Handicap odds at Luxbet behind raging favourite, the undefeated Black Caviar.

Peter Moody’s superstar mare has firmed further in the betting markets, now into $1.20 through Luxbet to become the 2011 Newmarket Handicap winner and extend her brilliant succession of wins to 10.

After suffering soreness in his off side right shoulder, New South Wales galloper Hay List was scratched from the Newmarket Handicap field this morning by trainer John McNair following veterinary advice.

Dual Group 1 winning colt Star Witness is now the second-favourite in the Newmarket Handicap betting paying $14 through Luxbet.
