Leading Perth rider William Pike will stick with last start winner Silverstream in the Group 1 $1m James Boag’s Premium Railway Stakes (1600m) at Ascot in Perth on Saturday.
Pike had the first choice of prominent Perth owner Bob Peters three Railway Stakes runners and chose Silverstream over Cosmic Storm and Disposition.
Pike has been aboard Silverstream for two of his last three starts for a second three runs back to Meteoroid in the in the Listed $100,000 Birthday Stakes (1200m) at Belmont on October 7 while the pair combined for a last start win over Railway Stakes rivals Great Shot and Scales Of Justice in the Group 2 $250,000 WAROA-Lee Steere Stakes (1400km) at Ascot in Perth on November 11.
Jarrod Noske takes over from Pike on Cosmic Storm after the premiership winning jockey had been aboard the Street Sense mare for her last nine starts while Shaun McGruddy takes the mount on Disposition.
Hong Kong’s premiership winning jockey Douglas Whyte returns to Perth to partner last year’s Railway Stakes winner Scales Of Justice who has been installed the $5.50 favourite for this contest with Ladbrokes.com.au.
Brad Rawiller rides the top weight Black Heart Bart who shares the second line of betting at $7 with the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Supply and Demand who has Josh Parr in the saddle.
Leading Sydney trainer Chris Waller has the next two in the market order, Tom Melbourne at $8 with Damien Oliver and Craig Williams’ mount All Our Roads at $11.
