She Will Reign has unsurprisingly opened odds-on favourite in Reisling Stakes 2017 betting this weekend as the Golden Slipper Stakes favourite tracks towards the Group 1 classic.

The racing fans are keeping a keen eye on the weather in Sydney ahead of Randwick Guineas Day on Saturday with talk the meeting could be called off due to a Heavy track.

At this stage the meeting is set to go ahead and kick off at 12:25pm (AEDT) with the two-year-old fillies facing off in the $300,000 Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m).

Of the nine youngsters in the mix for the first chasing the ballot free ride into the $3.5 million Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on March 18, the Gary Portelli-trained She Will Reign all the rage in Reisling Stakes betting at Ladbrokes.com.au.

It looks likely as she has won on everything from a Good (3) to a Heavy (8) and tracks towards a fourth career win on the weekend before starting favourite in Golden Slipper Stakes betting.

She is already top fancy for the world’s richest race for two-year-old horses paying $3 in futures and She Will Reign is at $1.50 for a Reisling Stakes success on Saturday.

Ben Melham continues his association with the young star who he has ridden to victory twice in her three-start career so far including the Inglis Nursery on a mud Randwick track by four lengths in December.

Her latest run on a Soft (5) Rosehill track produced another solid success when beating home the boys by a length and a half in the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m).

If anything stops the reign of the Golden Slipper favourite on Saturday the bookies believe it will be the also unbeaten Houtzen ($4.60).

She occupies the second line of Reisling Stakes betting despite her Gold Coast-based trainer Toby Edmonds yet to confirm her as a certain starter should the meeting go ahead.

I Am Invincible filly Houtzen was last seen enjoying a half-length win from the outside barrier (16 of 16) in the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) in mid-January.

She is yet to race outside of Queensland, but did salute on Soft (6) going earlier in the year giving an indication to how she’ll handle a bottomless Randwick track.

Edmonds though looks to be leaning towards a Brisbane run over the Sydney race on Saturday as a final Golden Slipper tune-up for his filly, despite her having to set a modern weight carrying record of 63kg at Eagle Farm.

The other filly under double-figures in Reisling Stakes odds paying $8 is From Within, representing Chris Waller of Winx fame.

The Not A Single Doubt filly benefits from the bookie of Joao Moreira as she runs for the first time since a 13^th to Houtzen in the Magic Millions Classic.
