Najoom ($3.90) is yet to be confirmed for a start on Saturday but remains outright favourite in 2015 Tattersall’s Tiara betting markets with Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Catkins ($4.40), Srikandi ($4.60) and Avoid Lightning ($7).

Catkins ($4.40)

Five-year-old Catkins is without doubt the standout of the 2015 Tattersall’s Tiara field and we’re confident she will break through for a maiden win at the highest level on Saturday. Returning this time for consecutive wins in the Group 2 Breeders’ Classic (1200m) and Group 2 Millie Fox Stakes (1300m), the daughter of Dubawi finished second to Cosmic Endeavour in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes (1300m) before returning to the winner’s circle in the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes (1500m). Having since finished second in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) and Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes (1350m), Catkins is positioned perfectly in barrier 3 and is sure to be delivered a top-class ride from Hugh Bowman.

2^nd

Avoid Lightning ($7)

Avoid Lightning placed a credible third in last year’s edition of the Tattersall’s Tiara, has found slick form leading into Saturday’s feature race and arguably offers punters the best value for money at current $7 odds for success or $2.65 to finish in the first three. Finishing third in the Millie Fox Stakes first-up, the Blevic mare continued to impress in taking out the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes (1200m) on April 11^th and finishing second in the Listed June Stakes (1100m) most recently on June 6^th. Allocated the rails draw, regular hoop Tim Clark returns to the saddle for the 2015 Tattersall’s Tiara.

Peggy Jean ($17)

Three-year-old Peggy Jean loves the wet, has been confirmed to be partnered by Zac Purton and will carry only 55.5kgs in the 2015 Tattersall’s Tiara. Stamping her claims as one to watch over a standout two-year-old campaign capped by success in the Group 1 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m), the Myboycharlie filly was unlucky to be blocked for a run late in the Listed Queensland Day (1200m) first-up but finished only a length-and-a-half off the pace of winner Mohave. The filly will need luck in running from a wide draw but is more than capable of success under the Tatt’s Tiara conditions.
