Champion hoop Glen Boss has been cleared to ride in this Saturday’s $3.5million Group 1 Golden Slipper as he attempts his third win in the world’s richest juvenile’s race.

Boss was under investigation by Melbourne’s Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board for a carless riding charge, but a ban has been lifted freeing him up to ride the Clarry Conners-trained Georgette Silk in the 2010 Golden Slipper.

Georgette Silk, drawn out wide in barrier nine just on the outside of pre-race favourite Military Rose, is currently a $67 chance for the Golden Slipper win with [iasbet].

Boss’ suspension was put into place last Sunday at Cranbourne for his victory ride aboard Hearts And Arrows, but will be cleared as of midnight on Good Friday.

In last year’s Golden Slipper, Boss rode runner-up Headway, but will have a tougher test on Saturday aboard roughie Georgette Silk.

Sebring (2008) and Flying Spur (1995) were Boss’ two previous Golden Slipper winning rides.

Boss’ other mounts at the prestigious Rosehill Golden Slipper meeting on Saturday are – Sincero in the $125,000 Listed The Schweppervescence, Slapstick in the $400,000 Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (also known as the Storm Queen Stakes), current second favourite for the $2.25million Group 1 The BMW Speed Gifted, Walking Or Dancing in the $400,000 Group 1 George Ryder Stakes, and The Comedian in the $150,000 Group 2 MYER Tulloch Stakes.
