This Saturday the Gai Waterhouse-trained Overreach will look to overcome the poor recent record of favourites in the 2013 ATC Sires Produce Stakes and complete the first two legs of the Sydney Autumn 2YO Triple Crown.

Having won the iconic Golden Slipper last Saturday, the Exceed And Excel filly will now look to add the $500,000 Group 1 ATC Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) title to her record the same way her star stablemate Pierro did 12 months ago.

She has the class, the right lead-up form, has come through the Slipper well and a nice barrier six draw for Saturday and as such Overreach dominates the ATC Sires Produce Stakes odds at a quote of $1.60.

While there’s plenty in favour of the young filly here, history also puts a few black marks against her name including the fact just three of the past 10 favourites getting the job done.
