Railway Stakes winner Sniper’s Bullet will now be considered for the Group One Kingston Town Classic held at Ascot in three weeks time.

Trainer Tracey Bartley is unsure as yet whether to push the six year old over the 1800m distance or to go back and focus on 1400m in the AJ Scahill Stakes held one week later.

Last year the gelding finished in third place behind Niconero in the Kingston Town Classic however this year’s win over the 1600m Railway Stakes has given Bartley confidence in the horse which endured a two and a half year drought before last weekend’s victory.

Sniper’s Bullet’s rider Nash Rawiller will now head to the Winterbottom Stakes aboard Lucky Secret in one weeks time.

After a great barrier trial win, three year old Waratah’s Secret is ready to take on the older horses in Saturday’s race.

Expected to ride the David Harrisons’ trained gelding is WA champion jockey Paul Harvey.

The other youngster of the pack is three year old Kid Choisir which won the Placid Ark Stakes (1200m) last Saturday.

Four year old mare Ortensia is an unconfirmed contender after a bad run in the Railway Stakes.

Trainer Tony Noonan will not risk running the mare if she is not 100% however her chances for an invite to Hong Kong have been ruled out along with Gold Salute after failing to meet the expectations of the international club.
