The action of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival lead-ups heats up at Rosehill Gardens today, Saturday the 30th of January, for Expressway Stakes Day 2021 and below we have a look at the latest track report and scratchings in Sydney ahead of the first.

The weather in Sydney is for scattered thunderstorms and more rain across the afternoon meaning there could be a downgrade to the current Soft (7) Rosehill track rating, paving the way for the mudlarks to salute in the wet.
Rosehill racing gets underway at 1:15pm (AEDT) and the nine-race card continues through until the last at 6:15pm (AEDT).
There are three Group status races on the program starting with a small field of eight potential 2021 Golden Slipper Stakes-bound fillies facing off in Race 2 (1:50pm) in the Group 3 $160,000 Widden Stakes (1100m).
The two-year-old colts and geldings are next-up in their equivalent lead-up into the $3.5 million Group 1 held in late March with eight also left in the Group 3 $160,000 Canonbury Stakes (1100m) following three withdrawals from the original line-up.
The meeting’s marquee event is the Group 2 $200,000 Expressway Stakes (1200m) set to run as Rosehill Race 7 at 5:00pm (AEDT).
The 2021 Expressway Stakes field has just six runners after three scratchings including last year’s champion Standout who isn’t effective on Soft tracks and the spring’s Golden Rose – Caulfield Guineas winning three-year-old Ole Kirk whose first-up run has been delayed.
Updated Expressway Stakes odds online at Ladbrokes.com.au are now dominated by the Godolphin-raced Savatiano ($2.05) who is nearing odds-on territory as a proven Soft-track performer.
See below for the full Rosehill race scratchings and jump times before heading over to Ladbrokes.com.au for all the best betting odds and offers this weekend.
