Chris Waller’s champion mare Via Sistina ($2.25F) etched her name in racing history, winning the 2025 Ladbrokes Cox Plate in a thrilling photo finish over stablemate Buckaroo to become the first horse since Winx to claim back-to-back victories in the race. Tresurethe Moment ran third for trainer Matt Laurie with Attrition fourth. Waller is now a six-time Cox Plate winning trainer while jockey James McDonald equalled Hugh Bowman’s record of four wins.

Cox Plate odds are available months before the $6 million Group 1 weight-for-age classic runs at Moonee Valley Racecourse over 2040m in late October each Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival.
All-in Cox Plate odds are open at bookmakers like Ladbrokes.com.au on potential runners and offer generous prices on horses that may or may not line-up in the official Cox Plate field.
