One of the final juvenile feature races of the autumn plays out at Royal Randwick on Saturday with markets on the 2026 Inglis Sires’ led by Clinton McDonald‘s Blue Diamond winning filly Streisand.

Punters are treated to four Group 1 races in Sydney this weekend as the autumn carnival hits fever pitch with Day 1 of The Championships including the $1 million Inglis Sires’ (1400m).
Heading the latest Inglis Sires’ betting markets at $3.40 and firming through Ladbrokes.com.au is proven Group 1 winning Magnus filly Streisand drawn well in gate five for jockey Ben Melham.
Winner of the Prelude / Blue Diamond double in Melbourne earlier this prep, she was last seen racing in her first Sydney assignment when crossing the line at Rosehill second behind Guest House in the famous $5 million Golden Slipper.
With her Sydney debut now done and dusted she’s sure to improve heading to Randwick now over the seven furlongs.
Pride Of Dubai (2015) was the last two-year-old to complete the interstate Blue Diamond / ATC Sires’ double, and there’s money coming in for Streisand to be the next.
The biggest threat to the well backed filly on the second line of betting and the only other two-year-old at single figure Inglis Sires’ odds of $4 is Campione D’italia.
Chris Waller‘s progressive Snitzel colt broke his maiden status fresh in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes (1200m) here at Randwick in a devastatingly close upset at 40/1 two back.
At his latest he too went to the world’s richest race for juveniles and more than held his own in the Slipper making up all the late ground having come from last on the turn to finish a brave fourth.
He looks set to enjoy the step up in trip now as Waller chases his second win in the event following his 2023 victory with Militarize.
Campione D’italia is drawn a dream in barrier three and benefits greatly from the booking of star hoop James McDonald.
Waller also saddles-up the widely drawn Fireball in gate 12 with the Inglis Millennium winner paying $20 at time of publish to improve on his Slipper seventh.
Outside of the two shortest in betting the next best fancied at $11 for the upset is the Bjorn Baker-trained Paradoxium who has gate 14 of 14 to overcome.
History is against him from the gate with no ATC Sires’ winner having come from wider than barrier 13 going back to at least the year 2000.
The Extreme Choice colt was going great guns earlier this season including his strong Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) win on March 7 before another wide alley (15 of 16) got the better of him in the Slipper where he ran 11th having faded the closing stages after trying to lead all-the-way making him a tough one to take up in distance.
Other youngsters being kept safe by the bookies include the Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained Blue Diamond fourth placed Zambales ($12), consistent Tagaloa filly Miss Chanel ($12) coming off a narrow loss in the $1 million VOBIS Showdown at Caulfield from the Waterhouse/Bott yard and the rails-drawn Ciaron Maher-trained Tornado Valley ($15) having just his second start after finishing runner-up in the Gold Coast’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic back in January.
The 2026 Inglis Sires’ is set to run as Randwick Race 6 at 3:20pm (AEDT) to kick off the Group 1s on Saturday’s 10-race card.
