It is overcast in Sydney today with scattered showers, the heaviest rainfall predicted for midday meaning there could be a little give in the current Good (3) rated Randwick track.

Sydney racing for The Everest Day kicks off at 12:05pm (AEDT) and the bumper 10 race card continues through until the last at 5:30pm (AEDT).

Of course the event everyone is counting down to is the inaugural running of the $10 million The Everest (1200m), the weight-for-age slot-race due to run as Randwick Race 8 at 4:15pm (AEDT).
