The 2011 Cox Plate results saw Greg Eurell’s eventually ill-fated mare Pinker Pinker take out the race in an upset as a $26 shot in the Cox Plate betting markets for that year. The four-year-old became the first Cox Plate winning mare since superstar Makybe Diva (2005), who went on to post her third Melbourne Cup win that spring. Pinker Pinker defeated the Kiwi raider Jimmy Choux in the Cox Plate 2010 quinella, while third went to Rekindled Interest.
