It is mostly sunny in Sydney today with a top of around 23 and with no rain on the forecast conditions look perfect for a bumper day of racing.

Rosehill Track Report – 28/03/2015

  • Rail Position: +4m Entire Circuit
  • Track Condition: Good (4)
  • Track Type: Turf
  • Weather: Fine
  • Penetrometer: 5.08
  • Rainfall: Nil last 24hrs, 36.5mm last 7 days

Racing kicks off at 12:40pm (AEDT) with the two-year-olds in the $150,000 Group 3 The Schweppervescence (1400m) and goes right through until Race 9 with the $150,000 Group 3 Neville Sellwood Stakes (2000m) rounding things out at 5:50pm (AEDT).

The opening Group 1 on the card runs as Race 6 at 3:50pm (AEDT) with a final field of 14 three-year-old fillies facing off in the $400,000 Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m), John Thompson’s last start Coolmore Classic runner-up First Seal the odds-on favourite at $1.95 through Ladbrokes.com.au.

Then the weight-for-age classic all the punters are keen to get in on the betting action for, the $1.5 million Group 1 The BMW (2400m) is next up stealing the spotlight at 4:30pm (AEDT).

The only scratching from The BMW field occurred yesterday with Group 1 winning Kiwi filly, former Oaks champ Rising Romance found to have heat on her heel and subsequently withdrawn from the star-studded line-up.

That leaves 11 hopefuls in the lucrative clash, the firming favourite of which is Japanese raider To The World ($2.70 into $2.25) making his Australian race debut.

Rising Romance is the day’s major withdrawal with 12 total scratchings currently.
