Coolmore Classic 2011 Rosehill Wet Track Betting Tips & Form

With the rain continuing to come down and dampen the Rosehill Race Track today, here the Races.com.au team take a look at the wet track form and betting tips for the day’s feature the 2011 Coolmore Classic.

Aloha

Aloha has good form leading up to the 2011 Coolmore Classic

The $600,000 Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) is scheduled to run at 4:10pm (AEDST) as Rosehill Race 7 this afternoon.

In an open-field of 15 hopefuls there’s no clear-cut winner that the punters are getting behind in the Coolmore Classic odds at Luxbet.

Mick Price’s consistent Encosta De Lago filly Aloha has remained steady in the market as the $5 top elect at Luxbet based on her recent good form that included a first-up win in a Group 3 over 1400m at Flemington on March 5.

Aloha boasts one of the best Dead Track records having won one of her four starts on Dead ground and finished in the money in her other three.

She has also run and won on a Slow track, so it is surprising she hasn’t been more heavily backed.

Her current quote of $5 is still great value and if you don’t fancy an upset, now is the time to get behind Aloha at Luxbet.

However there are five other rivals at single-figure odds to cause an upset Coolmore Classic result at Luxbet today.

Further fuelling the value for punters in the Coolmore betting is the fact that the Rosehill Track has been downgraded to a Slow 7.

So what horses in the Coolmore Classic field have claims to win Rosehill Race 7 based on their wet track form and where is the value at in the Luxbet markets?

2011 Coolmore Classic Wet Track Betting Tips

  • #4 Graceful Anna ($9.50 Luxbet) – Market Mover backed in from $12 to $9.50, coming off three second place finishes at Group level this prep, drawn ideally and the Races.com.au favourite to win – even more so looking at her good form in these conditions.

Dead: 2-1-0-1

Slow: 2-2-0-0

  • #6 No Evidence Needed ($8 Luxbet) – One of the best backed runners today to win the Coolmore Classic in from $14 to $8. Yet to finish out of the money in their four starts on Dead ground and has also won on a Slow track. Definitely rate to Place here.

Dead: 4-1-2-1

Slow: 4-1-0-0

  • #8 Jersey Lily ($8 Luxbet) – A win, a second and a third all on Slow going, coming off a last start victory in the Listed Wiggle Quality (1400M) at Warwick Farm on March 5, has claims.

Dead: 5-1-2-1

Slow: 3-1-1-1
