2011 Golden Slipper Prize Money

The 2011 Golden Slipper is the jewel in the Sydney Autumn Carnival crown, the $3.5 million two-year-olds race set to run at Rosehill Gardens on April 2, and here we have a look at the Golden Slipper Prize Money.

Each year a field of the finest juvenile thoroughbreds take to the track to contest the Golden Slipper Stakes, the prestige and generous prize money attracting the best of the best.

This year’s highly anticipated Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) is worth $3.5 million in prize money plus trophies, and there is also plenty of cash on offer for savvy punters that get in on the Golden Slipper betting action at Luxbet.

The Golden Slipper winner takes home $2 million in prize money plus trophies for their connections.

Recently the Golden Slipper first prize has been won by Crystal Lily (2010), Phelan Ready (2009), Sebring (2008) and Sebring (2008).

Golden Slipper prize money is paid down until the 10th placegetter, see below for a full breakdown.

Early favourites in the market to become the 2011 Golden Slipper winner include Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Karuta Queen, the Peter Moody-trained One Last Dance who is the favourite for Wednesday’s $100,000 Listed Blue Diamond Preview for Fillies at Caulfield, and Peter Snowden’s promising filly Glissade.

Premier online bookmaker Luxbet is set to open Golden Slipper betting markets next month, so make sure you are ready to get in on the generous futures odds by opening your Luxbet account today!
