Captain Sonador Wins 2010 Epsom Handicap at Randwick

Queensland galloper Captain Sonador has won the headline race at the Royal Randwick today, the $500,000 Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m).

Ridden by Glen Boss, the four-year-old son of Shamardal was strong to the line racing to the front in the final 100m.

Trusting, the odds-on favourite, had a good run but could only manage second while Sacred Choice finished third.

The top three placegetters in the Telstra T-Box Epsom Handicap (Race 8) were:

  • 1st – Captain Sonador
  • 2nd – Trusting
  • 3rd – Sacred Choice
