- 1st: No. 3 Guest House ($11)
- 2nd: No. 12 Streisand
- 3rd: No. 8 Music Time
Winning Margin: 1.37 lengths

Guest House ($11) proved too strong for his rivals in Sydney with the progressive Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr-trained Home Affairs colt getting the gap late to fly home in the 2026 Golden Slipper results at Rosehill on Saturday. It was the first Slipper for Price, with jockey Zac Lloyd giving the Victorian raider a peach of a ride to frank the form out of Melbourne. Having run third in the Blue Diamond last start, Guest House was able to turn the tables on the Blue Diamond winning filly Streisand who finished second in the Slipper with the Black Opal winner out of Canberra, Music Time, third.

Golden Slipper Form Guide: Facts & Key Stats
Looking over recent Golden Slipper Stakes history uncovers a number of interesting Golden Slipper form guide trends and statistics to check out when doing the form on the current season’s edition of the $5 million Group 1 sprint.
Lead-Up Runs: From 2009 – 2026 all but two of the Golden Slipper winners either finished first or second in their lead-up run. No Golden Slipper Stakes winner has finished worse than fourth last start in over 30 years. In 2026, Guest House bucked the trend improving on a lead-up third in Melbourne’s Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes to win the Slipper in Sydney.
Best Form Races: The Group 2 Todman Stakes and the Group 2 Reisling Stakes have been the key form races to follow into the Golden Slipper results in the past decade. From 2009 – 2026 seven of the 19 winners came off the Todman Stakes – also known as the Todman Slipper Trial. The filly She Will Reign improved on a Reisling Stakes second for her 2017 Golden Slipper victory and in 2018 the Reisling Stakes – Golden Slipper double was completed by Estijaab. In 2025 Marhoona won the Golden Slipper after a Reisling Stakes second, while that year’s Reisling winner Tempted ran a luckless third in the Slipper.
Favourites: In the past decade Golden Slipper Stakes favourites have a solid record with five saluting for the punters from 2006 – 2026. Sebring ($6 in 2008) was the first favourite to win since Courtz (1989). The only Golden Slipper winners since Forensics ($13 in 2007) to salute at double-figure odds are Phelan Ready ($26 in 2009), Kiamichi ($26 in 2019) a decade later, Fireburn ($12 in 2022) and Guest House ($11 in 2026). There was also a notable upset in the 2023 Golden Slipper with Shinzo winning at $16. The 2024 Golden Slipper favourite was Storm Boy who ran third to his stablemate Lady Of Camelot ($6.50).
Trainers: Gai Waterhouse is the most successful Golden Slipper Stakes trainer saddling up eight winners, four runners-up and seven third placegetters (up until 2026 inclusive). Looking for in-form Waterhouse-trained runners in the current year’s Golden Slipper field is always a good idea. Lady Of Camelot (2024) is Waterhouse’s latest Slipper champion.
Barriers: The standout Golden Slipper barrier (since 1983) producing nine winners is barrier one – most recently Fireburn (1 of 16 in 2022) and Shinzo (1 of 15 in 2023) – so tipping a good two-year-old drawn the rails can make a smart bet. Barrier 14 produced back-to-back Golden Slipper winners with Estijaab (2018) and Kiamichi (2019). In 2026, Guest House won the Golden Slipper from barrier 8.
