The Annabel & Rob Archibald-trained Chayan is tipped to beat home the boys when the last start Reisling Stakes winning filly lines-up as favourite in Saturday’s 2026 Golden Slipper field at Rosehill Gardens.

The latest installment of the world’s richest race for two-year-olds features a capacity field with a bumper crop of top-tier two-year-olds engaged in the Group 1 $5 million Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m).
The Slipper boasts a star-studded honour list that features the likes of Dance Hero (2004), Stratum (2005), Miss Finland (2006), Sepoy (2011), Capitalist (2016), Farnan (2020) and Shinzo (2003).
Since 2010, nine fillies have saluted in the feature including Lady Of Camelot (2024) and Marhoona (2025) going back-to-back.
It is a filly on top of Golden Slipper Stakes betting again in 2026 with Chayan, a bonny daughter of I Am Invincible, who is tipped to make it a hat-trick for the girls.
After a seventh in Melbourne’s Blue Diamond, she travelled north to break her maiden status in style at her third start taking out the Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on March 7 by a big margin.
Easily seeing out a strong six furlongs she now sticks to the same distance up against the colts and geldings now looking to become the first to do the Reisling / Golden Slipper double since Estijaab (2018).
She was emphatic in her lead-up win and now sits top of the Golden Slipper odds at $4.80 through Ladbrokes.com.au despite drawing wider out in gate 12 with Craig Williams coming aboard for the first time.
The danger occupying the second line of Slipper betting at $7 also drawn wide with gate 14 is Warwoven on the quick seven-day back-up off his Group 3 Pago Pago win last weekend.
Bjorn Baker‘s Sword Of State colt has won three of his four starts so far with Rachel King, who retains the ride this weekend, aboard for all of his past runs.
She gave him a peach of a ride at the track and trip last Saturday to salute by nearly a length and there’s plenty of early support for Warwoven to become the second horse in three years to complete the Pago Pago / Slipper double joining Shinzo (2023).
Allocated a nasty alley but still being kept safe in the markets at $7.50 is then Warwoven’s stablemate, Paradoxium (gate 18), who also comes in confident having won his past two on the trot.
Winner of the Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic back in December, the Extreme Choice colt made a nice return to racing claiming a one and a half-length win in the Group 2 Todman Stakes.
One of the best Slipper indicators in recent history, the Todman Stakes / Golden Slipper double was most recently achieved by Farnan (2020).
Rounding out the runners at single-figure Golden Slipper odds at time of publish is Guest House ($9) from the Price / Kent Jnr yard.
Drawn gate 10, the Home Affairs colt has raced exclusively in Melbourne to date with his latest start seeing him cross a length back third in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) in late February.
The flying Zac Lloyd comes aboard for the colt’s Sydney debut on the weekend boosting his chances according to the bookies and punters.
Following closely in the markets as a value $10 pop and the next best fancied of the fillies is Clinton McDonald‘s daughter of Magnus, Streisand, chasing her third straight win having completed the Prelude / Blue Diamond double.
She is another heading to Sydney for the first time on Slipper Day with Ben Melham booked for the ride.
Silver Slipper winning Wild Ruler colt Stretan Ruler ($11) prepared by Phillip Stokes is the other best backed juvenile looking to etch his name into the Golden Slipper history books on Saturday afternoon.
The 2026 Golden Slipper Stakes is scheduled to run as Rosehill Race 8 at 4:35pm (AEDT).
