*UPDATE: Hot favourite Rangirangdoo has been scratched from the 2010 Queen Elizabeth Stakes

This Saturday as part of the excellent line-up on Randwick?s Sydney Cup Day, nine great gallopers will take to the field in the $350,000 Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m).

Six of the nine horses set to contest the 2010 Queen Elizabeth Stakes are coming off a run in last Satuday?s Doncaster Mile, including the winner Rangirangdoo.

Trained by Chris Waller, five-year-old Rangirangdoo is currently the clear favourite in the betting markets for this Saturday paying $2.35 with [iasbet] despite not having won over the distance before.

Rangirangdoo?s best performance over 2000m was second to Theseo in the Ranvet Stakes two starts back.

The Pentire gelding will jump from barrier eight and will have Nash Rawiller behind the reins once again after last week?s court battle to allow the hoop to ride Rangirangdoo.

Doncaster Mile runner-up Road To Rock is back to do battle this Saturday, the Anthony Cummings-trained son of Encosta De Lago looking to do one better this weekend as he jumps from barrier two with Damien Oliver aboard.

Road To Rock is equal third-favourite with Doctor Fremantle at $7 for a win with [iasbet].

Other last start Doncaster Mile runners starting in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes are Road To Rock?s stablemate Triple Honour, Grahame Begg?s classy mare Palacio De Cristal, Miss Marielle and veteran seven-year-old Vision And Power.
