Typhoon Tracy has won the Group One Myer Classic is an absolutely stunning victory where she crushed the competition by four lengths.
The 1600m event started out with Hot Danish missing the start and pulled out of the barrier late to trail in last place.
Jolie’s Shinju took the lead early followed by Typhoon Tracy, Gold Water and Emblem of Liberty.
Hot Danish managed to catch up to fourth position while Gold Water took over Typhoon Tracy to settle into second position.
Zarita started picking up ground with 600m to go however at the 400m mark, Typhoon Tracy kicked off her eventual emphatic victory with Lady Lynette as runner up and Zarita finishing in third place.
For jockey Luke Nolen and trainer Peter Moody, this was their second win of the day.
On Typhoon Tracy’s performance, Nolen stated that although she was doesn’t have a great sprint, she manages to pick up over the course of the race.
Moody was overwhelmed by Typhoon Tracy’s win and may possibly run the champion female in the Emirates Stakes Day but only if she is at 110%.
