The 2010 Caulfield Cup Results were decided on Saturday 16 October, 2010 at Caulfield Racecourse in Melbourne. After rain threatened to cancel the $2.5 million Group 1 race Descarado won as a $17 outsider in Caulfield Cup betting on the Heavy-rated track for trainer Gai Waterhouse.

Coming in second behind the 2010 Caulfield Cup winner was Harris Tweed, who gave Descarado a great battle for the victory, and Monaco Consul snatched third in a photo from the strongly finishing Shocking who won the previous spring’s Melbourne Cup.

Descarado’s impressive win from barrier 15 was also the first time that champion trainer Gai Waterhouse has won the Caulfield Cup.
