Some of the season’s most promising two-year-olds go up against each other in a top edition of the Inglis Millennium 2026 in Sydney on Saturday, and with $2 million in stakes up for grabs, punters look set for a good show from the youngsters in the field.

The richest race on the Randwick card this weekend, the Restricted Listed Inglis Millennium (1100m) has drawn a capacity line-up with plenty of untapped juveniles looking to add their name to a glittering winners’ list that includes Castelvecchio (2019), Learning To Fly (2023) and Rivellino (2025).
There’s a tight battle at the top of the Inglis Millennium betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au with two hopefuls currently sharing favouritism at $5.50 – Plagiarism and Fireball.
Drawn mid-field in gate 10 for jockey Tim Clark, Plagiarism hails from one of the country’s best stables with Waterhouse & Bott looking for a big return from their untapped Written By colt.
He debuted at Rosehill last November and wasn’t out of place running third in the $1 million Group 3 Golden Gift two lengths off the winner Revengeance after drawing the outside alley.
Since then, he’s put in two good Warwick Farm trials including a winning hit-out on January 22 that has him cherry ripe for Saturday.
Fireball meanwhile continues to firm in the markets in from $6 to $5.50 and shapes as one of the standout winning hopes in what looks an open edition of the Inglis Sales graduates’ feature.
The Chris Waller?trained Snitzel colt has drawn perfectly in barrier three, and with James McDonald sticking, he maps to enjoy an economical run just off the speed.
His debut win at Rosehill in November was full of promise — carrying 58kg and still putting a length on his rivals over 1100m — and his recent Randwick trial suggested he’s returned a stronger, more polished version of himself.
There was plenty to like about the determination he showed first?up, surging from midfield to score, and natural improvement should only enhance his prospects.
With the right run from the draw and a powerful finish, he looks well placed to maintain his unbeaten record and stamp himself as a serious juvenile on the rise.
Outside the top two a further three runners are currently under double-figure Inglis Millennium odds with the widely drawn Ciaron Maher-trained Calamari Ring ($8), Lindsay Park‘s undefeated filly Jacaranda, and the Chris & Corey Munce-trained Queenslander Star Of Jamaica ($8.50).
Calamari Ring was a one-time favourite pre-acceptances before suffering an early blow with a nasty gate 22 (currently into 20) draw.
Still, the bookies are keeping the Street Boss filly relatively safe in the markets following her Inglis Banner win at Flemington on debut over the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Jacaranda is also not without support to make it two-from-two after Ben, Will & JD Hayes‘ nicely bred daughter of dual Group 1 winning sprinter Home Affairs made an immediate impact with her barnstorming 5.75 length romp home on debut at Seymour in mid-January.
Star Of Jamaica meanwhile races fit third-up travelling south off two good runs at home in the Sunshine State including his breakthrough win last start by nearly two lengths with 59kg on his back in a 2YO handicap at Eagle Farm on January 24.
The flying Zac Lloyd comes aboard for the colt’s Sydney assignment in a big tick and he’s drawn a treat in gate five.
Other notable chances lining up as the potential value runners in the Inglis Millennium field include the Blue Diamond Preview winning colt Alibaba ($11) who heads to Sydney over Melbourne this weekend, Bjorn Baker‘s rails-drawn Profitabelle ($11) coming off a third here on debut at the start of January, and even Paul Murray‘s Trapeze Artist filly Where’s The Circus ($26) who was a blowout 40/1 winner of the Inglis Nursery last time out.
The 2026 Inglis Millennium is scheduled as Randwick Race 7 at 4:00pm (AEDT) on Saturday’s 10-race card.
