The last of three Restricted Listed features on the bumper 10-race Magic Millions Day card this weekend, the $2 million Magic Millions Cup (1400m) has drawn a topline field of middle-distance gallopers.

Heading the latest Magic Millions Cup odds online at Ladbrokes.com.au at $4.20 and firming is six-year-old The Mission gelding Yellow Brick who returned to winning form first-up last weekend in the Magic Millions QTIS Open adding to his strong Top 3 strike-rate at the track (4:1-1-1).

Carrying 61kg to a dominant win in that he now presents fitter second-up and ready to fire again on the short turnaround down a half-kilo with Ethan Brown coming aboard in place of J-Mac.

Yellow Brick is out to be the first favourite in Magic Millions Cup betting to salute for the punters since Vega One ($3.30 in 2020)!

Master hoop James McDonald meanwhile partners rival Bosustow who resumes from wide out in gate 18.

The Blue Point four-year-old entire kicks off his latest prep unbeaten from two previous Gold Coast runs including having taken out the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas at this time last summer.

He hasn’t raced since mid-November when far from disgraced crossing fifth to Jimmysstar in the Group 1 CF Orr in Melbourne and the well-bred galloper finds an easier assignment here with the right jockey aboard for a big showing fresh.

Following Yellow Brick in the markets as a $7 pop in Magic Millions Cup betting is the rails drawn Getafix to be ridden by Zac Lloyd.

The John O’Shea & Tom Charlton trained Calyx four-year-old sees the Gold Coast circuit for the first time but is up to his pet distance here.

Set to enjoy an economical run from the inside gate, Getafix brings strong Sydney form to the race and remains a serious contender for a run in the first three.

Trainer Peter Snowden has three final acceptors, two of which are guaranteed a run, led in betting by
Need Some Luck ($7.50) with Tommy Berry sticking aboard the last start The Buffering champ.

Joe Pride‘s widely drawn Cool Jakey ($9.50) completes the single figure fancies with Rachel King to partner the Pierro six-year-old who drops weight from his lead-up Randwick win on January 3 with a hefty 61.5kg on his back.

Snowden is also represented in the starting line-up by his son of Capitalist, King Of Roseau ($13), after a maiden win over further than 1300m while the Lloyd Kennewell trained Meridius ($14) presents as a potential value runner after resuming with a victory at Cranbourne carting plenty more weight.

The 2026 Magic Millions Cup is set to run as the penultimate event on the card scheduled as the Gold Coast Race 9 at 5:20pm (AEST).
