2011 Blue Diamond Prelude for Fillies – Final Field

Acceptances for the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) have been released today ahead of the race at Caulfield this Saturday February 12, 2011.

The 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) is sporting a full 16 horse field for the $125,000 race.

Betting options and the best odds on the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) will soon be available at Luxbet.

Peter Moody’s One Last Dance is amongst the acceptances as was expected, with the filly looking to add to her win at the Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) on January 26, 2011.

One Last Dance has not yet covered the 1,100 metre distance of the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies), with her last two wins from as many starts being over 955 metres and 1,000 metres.

One last dance has drawn barrier two and will be ridden by Luke Nolen.

Peter Snowsden’s filly Glissade will contend for the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) title after being beaten by three lengths at her last start on January 15, 2011.

Glissade has been lucky enough to draw barrier one for the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) and will be ridden by jockey Mark Zahra.

Possibly one of the largest threats to the field is Mick Price’s Holdontoyahorses, unbeaten in both of her previous two starts.

Mick Price believes that his filly is more than capable of winning the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies).

“She’s a tough, sound, natural two-year-old and everything has gone spot-on,” Price said.

However the two-year-old filly’s trainer understands that things do not always go to plan.

“Timing is very important. You have to have your horse right on the day,” Price said.

“Training-wise she has been excellent. It’s a question if she is good enough.”

Holdontoyahorses will be ridden by Damien Oliver in the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies), the same jockey that rode her to victory in her last start at Caulfield on January 8.

David HayesEramor, Leigh ChildsSuite Success and Mark Kavanagh’s Quench The Thirst have also been confirmed as starters in the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies).

With such an exciting race on offer, now is the perfect time to open an account with leading bookmaker Luxbet.
