Today’s racing at Caulfield, plus all Saturday race meetings in Victoria, have been abandoned due to heavy rain and flooding.
The Caulfield racecourse received 125mm of rain overnight from 6pm which has caused flooding in areas of the racecourse and interrupted power in the main grandstand.
Victorian race meetings to abandoned:
- Caulfield (Saturday)
- NMIT Kyneton Park (Saturday)
- Buchan (Saturday)
- Healesville (Sunday)
Three of the feature races that where set to run at Caulfield today have been transfered to the Wednesday 9th February metting at Sandown.
The Listed Chairman’s Stakes will run at Sandown and the distance has been changed from 1100m to 1000m.
The New Saturday Age Cup drops will run at Sandown on Wednesday and the distance will drop back from 2000m to 1800m.
The Listed Manfred Stakes will now run over a distance of 1300m at Sandown.
The Listed W.J. Adams Stakes, which was to feature a number of quality gallopers including Crystal Lily and Reward For Effort, has unfortunately been abandoned.
