2010 Cox Plate Money Back Betting Special if Second to So You Think

Fresh from paying out more than $250,000 in bets on So You Think on Monday, online bookmaker Sportsbet still believes Saturday’s Cox Plate is a one-horse race and is offering a remarkable money-back special on every other horse in the race.

If a punter’s selection finishes second to So You Think, Sportsbet will refund all bets to a maximum of $100.

“We think every other horse is fighting for second place, and that being the case we’re giving punters their money back if their selection is beaten into second by So You Think,” said Sportsbet’s Haydn Lane.

“This is a win-win for punters – either back and cheer on the best horse in the land or get your money back if yours runs a gallant second.”

There has been further strong support for the Bart Cummings-trained entire since Monday’s payout, including a bet of $100,000 at $1.50 taken this morning.

“Many So You Think punters that were paid on Monday have already reinvested their winnings on the champ,” said Lane.

“From gate five Steven Arnold can do as he pleases and either take a sit just off the speed or lead if need be. Either way we think he’ll be too strong.

“Of course if we’ve got it wrong there’ll be 250,000 reminders on Monday morning.”
