In 2026, Caulfield Guineas Day runs on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

The Caulfield Guineas Day 2026 meeting is one of the true centre pieces of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. The program is headlined by the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas, Australia’s premier mile test for three-year-olds, but the card is stacked with elite racing across multiple divisions, making it one of the most anticipated and form rich days of the spring. The fillies’ equivalent – the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) – no longer runs on Caulfield Guineas Day and instead takes place the weekend after on Caulfield Cup Day.

A further two other elite level spring features are on the card with the milers facing off in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) and possible Caulfield Cup types running in the Group 1 Caulfield Stakes (2000m) currently known as the Might And Power.

2026 Caulfield Guineas Day is set to light up Caulfield Racecourse on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Nominations for the feature race on the day, the Caulfield Guineas, are taken in early September followed by a number of subsequent acceptance stages.
