The last of the Group status races on the Warwick Stakes Day card, this year’s $125,000 Group 3 Forum Group Toy Show Quality (1300m) is the penultimate event on the program running as Randwick Race 8 at 4:20pm (AEST).

The field features 10 fillies and mares with Heavens Above drawn in barrier seven and giving the weight away lumping 59kg around with Hugh Bowman booked for the ride.

An ultra-consistent daughter of Street Cry, the now five-year-old was last seen finishing second to Azkadellia in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on April 9.

She hasn’t finished out of the money in her past seven runs on a steady improve after things went amiss for her when dead last (16th) behind Winx in last year’s Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2200m) as a three-year-old in 2015.

Her biggest win to date was in the Group 3 Aspiration Quality (1600m) at Randwick in early March, Saturday her fifth look at the track (4-2-1-1).

The only other runner weighted above the 54kg minimum in the Toy Show Quality weights this season is the Grant Marshall-trained Slots (54.5kg) who gets the inside run from barrier one for her career swansong.

The Casino Prince seven-year-old heads to the breeding barn after her final run on the weekend where she chases back-to-back wins after success in a Benchmark 85 over 1250m in the wet at Canterbury on July 23.

Slots had 58.5kg on her back that day and will relish the drop back in weights as she attempts to bow out a winner.

A host of other acceptors also come off a win including the Chris Waller-trained duo of Elle Lou and Pioneering drawn in barriers eight and four respectively.

Glyn Schofield stays in the saddle of Snitzel five-year-old Elle Lou who drops from 60kg to 54kg on the back of an impressive mid-July win over 1350m at Rosehill.

Pioneering also comes back in the kilos from 58.5kg, the weight she had for her Rosehill win over 1400m from July 30.

That was her third victory on the trot, Saturday the Sebring four-year-old’s chance to make it four straight and break her Randwick maiden with jockey Tommy Berry coming aboard to replace Bowman.

Knit ‘N’ Purl rounds out the last start winners, Kris Lees’ super-consistent More Than Ready four-year-old having saluted over 1200m at Randwick a fortnight ago by two lengths.

She relished the Heavy-rated track, which she has now won two of her three starts over, and Kerrin McEvoy retains the ride this weekend on the proven mudlark from barrier three.

Also drawn well with barrier two is the John O’Shea-trained Pearls, a four-year-old daughter of Exceed and Excel chasing her first win since the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) in September last year.

Pearls went on to run fourth to Speak Fondly in that year’s Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m), but has finished in the money in just one of her subsequent runs.
