2020 The All-Star Mile Day: Caulfield Scratchings & Track Report

Today’s Caulfield race meeting may be closed to the general public but there is still plenty to be excited about for The All-Star Mile Day 2020, the full race scratchings and updated track report for which are detailed below.

Caulfield Track Report – 14/03/2020

  • Rainfall: 0.2mm last 24hrs and week

The forecast for Melbourne today is for a partly cloudy but otherwise fine afternoon and without any chance of rainfall the current Good (4) Caulfield track rating looks set to remain across the card.

Caulfield racing gets underway with the first at 1:05pm (AEDT) and the nine-race program is scheduled conclude at 5:55pm (AEDT).

Three Listed features are peppered across the card starting with Race 3 – the $150,000 Redoute’s Choice Stakes (1000m) field down to just five juveniles following three early scratchings from the two-year-olds sprint.

A small but quality line-up of eight remain for the popular $150,000 Neds Mornington Cup Prelude (2000m) following the withdrawal of the in-form Salsamor (2) with updated markets at Ladbrokes.com.au led by Sizzling four-year-old Secret Blaze coming off the nice second to subsequent Australian Cup winner Fifty Stars in the Group 2 Blamey Stakes (1600m).

The third Black-Type feature is the $150,000 Neds Anniversary Vase (1600m) with Admiral’s Joker odds-on to post his first win since October’s Seymour Cup.

Of course, the race of the weekend is the $5 million The All-Star Mile (1600m) running as Race 7 at 4:45pm (AEDT) where the 15-starter field is dominated by the flying three-year-old Australian Guineas champ Alligator Blood ($2.80).
