Rain is predicted from lunchtime on trackside at Rosehill Gardens today meaning there is unlikely to be any upgrade to the current Soft (5) Rosehill track rating.

Rosehill racing kicks off at 12:45pm (AEDT) and the nine-race card continues through until 5:45pm (AEDT).

There are a host of Group status races to enjoy starting with the two final 2020 Golden Slipper lead-up races – the Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) and Group 3 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) – running as races two and three respectively.

The odds continue to firm on Chris Waller’s Flight Stakes winning filly Funstar who is into $1.75 through Ladbrokes.com.au to win the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes (1500m) with three scratchings from Rosehill Race 5.

The Doncaster Mile hopefuls face off in Race 6 with the Group 2 $200,000 Ajax Stakes (1500m) down to 13 with markets led by Liverpool City Cup winner Quackerjack ($4.40 @ Ladbrokes.com.au).

The meeting’s headline event is of course the Group 1 $600,000 Coolmore Classic (1500m) running as Race 7 and one-time favourite Sweet Deal has been scratched from the field after picking up a stone bruise.
