The Warwick Farm meeting featuring Cellsabeel in the Inglis Millennium may have been abandoned in Sydney due to heavy rainfall and the state of the track, but in Melbourne the overcast skies over Caulfield aren’t expected to produce any precipitation until the evening.
Without any real chance of rain, the current Good (4) Caulfield track rating looks set to remain across the nine-race card that kicks off at 12:35pm (AEDT) and continues through until the last at 5:30pm (AEDT).
There are eight Group status races on the CF Orr Stakes Day program headlined by the marquee race, the Group 1 $500,000 Neds C.F. Orr Stakes (1400m) running as the penultimate event on the card.
The CF Orr Stakes 2020 field features a dozen weight-for-age hopefuls led in betting by Lindsey Smith’s last start Australia Stakes winner Scales Of Justice ($2.90 @ Ladbrokes.com.au).
Earlier there will be plenty of eyes on Caulfield races three and four as the two Blue Diamond Prelude races take place.
The Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained Muntaseera is favourite for the fillies’ edition first-up before Anthony Freedman’s Preview winning colt Hanseatic jumps top elect when it is the boys turn.
