Due to run as Race 6 at 4:55pm (AEDT), both Savoureux (7) and Roseito (5) have been withdrawn from this summer’s edition of the Group 3 $150,000 Gosford RSL Club Belle Of The Turf Stakes (1600m).
Red hot favourite in Belle Of The Turf Stakes betting at Ladbrokes.com.au at $2.30 and firming is the Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained 59kg top weight Sedanzer.
Coming off three wins on the trot, the classy Sebring four-year-old is a hard-to-beat favourite even with the weight having carried 57.5kg to a comfortable two length victory over the Randwick mile last start on December 16.
A Group 1 performer as a filly during the winter including running only two lengths back fifth behind Egg Tart in Adelaide’s Schweppes Oaks (2010m), Sedanzer is flying and had Rachael King retaining the ride this afternoon.
So will the top fancy just come out and win or is there an upset Belle Of The Turf Stakes result pending this summer with all but one of the other runners under $10 in a wide open market?

#6 Pecans ($4.20)
Going for a touch of value and tipping Pecans to continue her own winning streak with a third win on the trot. She’s racing in ultra-consistent form having finished top two in all but three of her 11 career starts to date. Joe Pride’s progressive Skilled four-year-old is on the up-and-up, proven winning form at Gosford and was impressive saluting over 1400m at Warwick Farm last Saturday. She is on the quick back-up but can handle it, is flying and the mile should also be to her liking.

#1 Sedanzer ($2.30)
The weight is the only real concern for the deserving favourite who hasn’t tasted defeat this campaign. King is riding her impeccably and that is tipped to continue here. Her lead-up has been impeccable, she is undefeated over a mile (2:2-0-0) and if she carries the weight she can defeat this field.
3rd
#2 Denmagic ($8)
Really think Denmagic presents as a top three chance at odds with a gun run scheduled form gate two. Tye Angland jumps on the Denman five-year-old who was runner-up over 1350m at Doomben last time out. Rises in weight, but she’s got good place form over 1600m (4:1-1-1) and will eat-up the extra distance.
