The Lindsay Park operation will launch a two-pronged attack in Saturday’s 2016 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield, and co-trainer Tom Dabernig is confident both Gregers and Fast ‘N’ Rocking are competitive chances of success.

Gregers has been a strong and consistent performer for Dabernig and co-trainer David Hayes through her entire competitive career so far; posting a commendable six wins and nine minors through only 27 starts.
Dabernig told Racing Ahead the daughter of Commands has taken plenty of benefit from her time away from racing, and believes her proven first-up form could be the difference in the 2016 Oakleigh Plate.
“Gregers always runs an honest race,” Dabernig said.
“She’s great fresh and has a good Caulfield record. On several occasions she’s only been a length or so away at Group 1 level, so I think she’ll run well.”
Fast ‘N’ Rocking savaged the line for third in last year’s edition of the Oakleigh Plate, and Dabernig believes the seasoned sprinter will make his own luck in the race once more on Saturday.
“This is the sort of race I can imagine Fast ‘N’ Rocking winning. He’s got a very good fresh record, a very good record at the track and distance,” he said.
“Last year in the Oakleigh Plate he drew quite wide and had to sort of wait until late to make his run, but really charged and hit the line hard.
“It certainly wouldn’t surprise me with a horse like him. He’s a tough old sprinter who could put himself right in the race.”
Fast ‘N’ Rocking has been a notable competitor at the highest level of racing through his entire career and has claimed a total of five wins and seven minors through 34 starts since his debut in 2012.
