The day’s action gets underway with the running of the Curragh Racecourse Trophy (1600m) at 12:35pm local time and concludes with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Trophy (1200m).

Race 2; the Listed Talindert Stakes (1200m) figures as 2016 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes Day’s first black type race, and has drawn a talented field of fifteen two-year-olds.

Weatherly arguably figures as the class horse of the field, but faces plenty of resistance in the likes of Clockwork Orange and Pearl Congenial.

Some of the Autumn Carnival’s most exciting three-year-olds will line up for the Group 3 The Vanity (1400m) including Crown Oaks winner Jameka and leading Perth filly Perfect Reflection, while a number of leading Australian Guineas contenders will complete their final tune-ups in the Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) including Bon Aurum, Lizard Island and Palentino.

Chautauqua, Terravista, Delectation and Exosphere have all been confirmed to line up for the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes, in what is shaping as the most exciting edition of the Group 1 feature race in years.
