I’ve Got The Looks Leads 2015 Glenlogan Park Stakes Odds

Peter & Paul Snowden’s flying mare I’ve Got The Looks will shoot for a hat-trick of Queensland stakes wins when she jumps favourite in the Glenlogan Park Stakes 2015 field at Doomben Racecourse this weekend.

The five-year-old daughter of Choisir resumed racing at the Gold Coast with a win in the Listed Silk Stocking (1200m) and then backed up at Doomben to take out the Listed Junamo Stakes (1200m) on May 9.

Now she returns to the same Brisbane track stepping up in class for a shot at the $150,000 Group 3 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) on Doomben 10,000 Day this Saturday.

Due to jump as Doomben Race 2 at 12:07pm (AEST), this year’s Glenlogan Park Stakes field features 12 fillies and mares.

Last Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival subsequent Stradbroke Handicap third placed Srikandi completed the Silk Stocking, Junamo Stakes, Glenlogan Park Stakes hat-trick that I’ve Got The Looks is out to emulate this weekend.

In the latest Glenlogan Park Stakes odds at Ladbrokes.com.au she is the $3.50 top fancy to do so as well drawn well in gate seven with Blake Shinn to ride.

The next best in Glenlogan Park Stakes betting at a firming $4.40 in from $5 is the Peter Moody-trained Husson five-year-old Peron.

Two back the mare was fifth in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Randwick before her Rosehill fourth on May 9 in the Group 3 Hawkesbury Darley Crown (1300m) she’ll be looking to improve on when she returns to Doomben where she boasts two wins and a third from five previous starts.

The $5 third pick for the win is then the super-consistent Peace Force jumping from barrier nine with Timothy Bell in the saddle.

A winner of six of her 17 starts to date, Gerald Ryan’s five-year-old Bernardini mare comes off a first-up second in the Hawkesbury Darley Crown and has an imposing second-up record of two wins and two seconds from four previous runs.

The last of the single figure hopes are then Solicit ($5.50) carrying the 59.5kg top weight in the set weights plus penalties clash and She’s Clean ($8).

Ryan’s second runner in the race, Street Cry four-year-old Solicit is looking to post back-to-back wins this time in after her Hawkesbury Darley Crown success where she carried 59kg to victory from barrier two.

She has half a kilo more for Saturday, where she’ll be racing at Doomben for the first time, but has a similarly good barrier three draw for jockey Tye Angland to work with.

She’s Clean meanwhile has Hugh Bowman aboard, the Chris Waller-trained Redoute’s Choice six-year-old coming off a fifth behind Saturday’s favourite I’ve Got The Looks in the Juanmo Stakes.
