The 2017 Victoria Derby Results saw the David Payne-trained Ace High become just the second favourite since 2006 to salute for the punters. Continuing an excellent spring prep, the son of High Chaparral made it three straight wins and franked the form of his lead-up victory in Sydney’s Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m).

The Victoria Derby 2017 winner Ace High defeated the second favourite Sully by a dominant two lengths, while Astoria ran third to round out the VRC Derby trifecta.
