2016 Jungle Mist Classic Betting Odds

Let It Slip has opened top of the Jungle Mist Classic 2016 betting odds to win the last on Railway Stakes Day in Perth this weekend.

Closing the card as Ascot Race 9 at 5:40pm (WA time) on Saturday afternoon, this year’s $100,000 Listed Crown Perth Jungle Mist Classic (1200m) features a 16 starter field of fillies and mares.

Heading the line-up as well as the latest Jungle Mist Classic odds at Ladbrokes.com.au paying $3.50 for the win is Let It Slip, drawn a treat in barrier two with Jarrad Noske to ride.

Daniel Pearce’s Not A Single Doubt four-year-old is back in stakes’ class after her third in a Benchmark 72+ at the track / distance on October 29.

She’s been freshened-up since, has previous winning form over the 1200m at Ascot and looks well suited to the set weights plus penalties conditions of Saturday.

Occupying the second line of Jungle Mist Classic betting this Perth Summer Racing Carnival at $4.60 is Jestajingle also drawn well in gate four.

Peter Hall retains the ride on the Fred Kersley-trained Lonhro four-year-old, the mare coming off a 1000m win by 2.5 lengths on November 9 at the track.

She now chases her first win over further than that distance, dropping to 55kg.

Despite the size of the field just two other runners are also under $10 to take out the Jungle Dawn Classic lead-up with Cosmic Storm ($6) and Meteoroid ($7) the other best in betting.

Cosmic Storm and her hoop William Pike have work to do from a double-digit barrier 12 draw first-up, the Grant & Alana Williams-trained Street Sense five-year-old having her first run since January.

Her latest effort saw her cross third to Ideal Image in the Group 3 La Trice Classic (1800m) and she’s trialled twice this season including a Lark Hill win over 950m on October 31 ahead of her return.

Saturday will be the mare’s first start over the short distance and without a win under a mile, she’ll be improving on whatever she does on the weekend.

Meteoroid meanwhile is a three time winner from four 1200m runs to date, the Simon Miller-trained Northern Meteor five-year-old coming off the latest of those at the Ascot track on November 5.

She rises in class but is undefeated at the course and has earned her shot at a Black-Type summer festival win.

The best of the double-figure fancies looking for the upset include early market mover Secret Nova ($12 into $10) first-up for Jim Taylor, and Uptown Funk ($12) out in barrier 13 for her return and Ascot debut.
