A final field of eight has been confirmed for the 2014 Group 3 Maurice McCarten Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens this weekend, offering punters several good opportunities to place a winning bet.

Having returned to the track in strong form this preparation, That’s A Good Idea is featured as clear $2.70 favourite for Maurice McCarten Stakes betting markets, currently displaying odds of $2.70 for victory this Saturday.

Yet to appear on track in 2014, Va Pensiero has received huge support in betting markets so far, cutting in from an opening price of nearly $15 to currently sit as the undoubted $9 market mover.

While noticeably tiring toward the end of his 2013 spring preparation, the Stratum colt has claimed victories in both of his first-up starts in his short racing career so far, including the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) on August 17^th.
