It is set to be a huge day of racing at Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse this weekend and one race on the Randwick Guineas Day card is the Listed 2012 Eskimo Prince Stakes.
Nominations have now been released for the $100,000 event which is set to be run over 1200 metres.
Coming off a spell, the Kris Lees trained colt Uate is the nominated top weight and is set to carry 59kg.

Uate is the nominated top weight for the 2012 Eskimo Prince Stakes
Uate has three wins from seven starts but the three-year-old has not raced since last year’s Coolmore Stud Stakes in Flemington where he finished eighth.
Fresh off a win in the Fireball Quality Handicap, Nobby Snip is a nominated horse in good form heading into Saturday’s race.
The Gai Waterhouse trained gelding also won his first up start the race before in the Pony Express Holdings for three-year-olds and boasts an impressive four wins from six starts.
Promising filly Altar has also been nominated and is coming off a fourth-place effort in the Fireball Quality which followed another fourth in the Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes.
Didntcostalot is another Fireball Quality runner (second) to be included in Eskimo Stakes nominations and the Marc Conners trained colt has the ability to challenge the front runners, having an impressive resume that includes three victories from five outings.
Four Chris Waller trained horses have been included in nominations for the 2012 Eskimo Prince Stakes including Sacred Pins, Startreusse, Subarc and Velrosso.
Sacred Pins is coming off a spell and the New Zealand horse will be looking to keep his unbeaten record from two starts in tact on Saturday.
