There was no love for Tofane in Saturday’s...
There’s no doubting the genuine quality of champion horse Whobegotyou.
Incredibly in his 25 race career just five times has he finished outside the placings and he’s won more than 30% of his races.
Last start was the Cox Plate where he ran a gallant third, only beaten by the immortal Zipping and one of a kind So You Think.
Whobegotyou certainly deserves to be part of such illustrious company with wins in the Group 1 Yalumba and Group 1 Caulfield Guineas, not to mention the multiple other Group wins and places over the years.
In the 2011 Futurity Stakes though Whobegotyou runs into a rampaging odds on favourite in More Joyous.
With eleven wins from 15 starts including a dominate last start display in the Breeders Classic she is a deserved favourite.
However with a career as impressive as Whobegotyou and having never finished below second first up in his career, $6.50 on Luxbet is excellent value.
He will get out early and try and be on or near the pace giving himself every chance of victory.
Judging by previous runs, More Joyous will tend to hang back a bit and try and run over the top of them late.
It’s a very risky tactic against such a quality opponent and it just might cost her.
Whobegotyou is fresh and ready to add to nearly $3 million in prize money and we feel he’s been too early discounted by a lot of people.
If More Joyous gives him too much start we’re tipping there could be many punters thinking twice about their $1.50 investment half way up the straight.
We’re not claiming he should be favourite, but at $6.50 for a horse of such proven quality, he definitely has the ability to cause a major upset and dash the hopes of thousands of punters in the Futurity Stakes this weekend.
If you agree with us you can still get these great fixed odds now at Luxbet. If not by all means jump on the incredibly quick More Joyous, just don’t say we didn’t tell you so…
